A vision for change

When we started our foundation we were driven by the idea that young people should not be excluded from the benefits of regeneration when they stood to lose or gain the most from decisions being made about their communities.

We have set out to provide an a range of opportunities for young people to learn, experiment and work in the public sphere. We aim to foster a culture that encourages young people to be themselves, one that values their experiences and speaks to their aspirations. The narrative around young people is all too often driven by thinly veiled biases and discrimination. We see youth culture as holding the possibility to remake community at a time in which we are becoming more divided.

To invest in youth is to invest in the future. The innovation and energy we see in the young people we work with is a constant source of inspiration and a reminder that our ambition must match theirs if we are to realise our vision.

We are extremely proud to have been recognised as an outstanding work experience provider in Lambeth.

The award was in recognition for the continued paid work opportunities we have created for young people in the borough. We aim to inspire young people to think about their direction through learning more about their own interests, skills and motivations. CASE STUDY: STYLE & SOUND

Ignitious Moyo is a filmmaker whom we began working with in February 2019, when he participated in one of our youth markets. Across the year, he remained a frequent attendee of our markets and events.

Over time we connected Ignitious with Roundhouse to help him with access to film equipment. He also began working with other young people he met in our community. He collaborated with them on his Creative Con event and Youtube "Time to Innovate" series respectively.

As our relationship grew, he approached us with an idea for a panel discussion in partnership with his new platform Style & Sound. We launched his panel discussion under our Inspire Series umbrella in February 2020.

Testimonial & Feedback

“Really nice event, great panel. Nicely moderated, good location, great selection of panelists.”

“I found the event VERY informative! There was a welcoming relaxed environment jam-packed with inspiring and accessible tips for those of all incomes. VERY WORTHWHILE!”

“There was no judgement and I could ask questions without fear of looking silly.”

Make a difference

Working the way we do, delivering on the promise of our vision, isn’t fast and doesn’t come cheap. Our aim is to make our work free at the point of service for those for whom cost is a barrier while also building a sustainable financial model to ensure its longer term viability. Your donation, however small, brings us closer to our goal and means a lot more to us than you might think.
